On 5/3/18 a plan was filed for a residential home development to be built in the fields on the west side of Dan Jones road just south of Avon high school. It will tremendously stress the traffic situation on an already busy 2 lane road.
The development is to be named Fairwood
This is another example of a developer taking advantage of Avon's willingness to ignore our zoning ordinances. We must do better.
Here is the information given by the developer of Fairwood PUD at neighborhood meeting.....
- 275 to 300 homes
- min lot size 7000 sq ft
- sale prices will be $325k to $450k
- houses will range from 1600 sq ft to 2200 sq ft
- vinyl siding will be used
- the houses will be a minimum of 10 ft apart
- they have not settled on a builder but Arbor is being considered
- once it is approved, they "may" sell to another developer
If all this doesn't add up to you, remember Plat Property Management who is doing development has previously declared bankruptcy.
